Company Leadership Susan Shain, President Susan Shain assumed the leadership of the family business from founder Norris Madden. As President, her responsibilities are to oversee day-to-day operations and meet with team leaders to coordinate all production areas of the plant. Eric Sowersby, Vice-President and General Manager Eric Sowersby has extensive knowledge of the processing industry. His responsibilities are to coordinate all department managers and oversee our entire operation. He meets with customers to help review their requirements and ensure a complete resolution to any customer problems. As an officer of the company, Eric also handles many of the administrative duties associated with running the business. Marquita Jacka, Secretary/Treasurer and Estimating/Planning Manager As Estimating & Planning Manager, Marquita Jacka is responsible for estimating, pricing and quoting as well as assisting with planning, specification update and our statistical process control program. Her previous employment experience maintaining a single-person office supporting several outside sales people gave her great multi-tasking skills and the ability to work with several different departments at Kansas Plating. Feel free to contact Marquita for pricing, special quotes or questions you might have on planning. Rick Shain, Quality Assurance Manager Rick Shain has a degree in Business from Friends University. His duties include all production Quality Programs and maintainence of our specification library. Rick is Kansas Plating's focal for audits from our customers, and he is our NADCAP coordinator. Kevin Moser, Lab Manager As Lab Manager, Kevin Moser is responsible for ensuring compliance plant-wide of all solution analysis on our lines as well as in-house testing and equipment calibration. His duties include overseeing Lab employees, coordintating the Hazardous Waste Program, directing the OSHA Safety Training Program and assisting with the NADCAP audits. Kevin holds certifications in HAZMAT programs and Internal Audit Training. Rickey Phillips, Plant Manager/NDT Inspector Rickey Phillips has been in the processing industry for a number of years. He has great working knowledge of our process lines and has run each of our plating processes as well as being a certified inspector in Magnetic Particle and Fluorescent Penetrant inspection in our NDT department. Rickey’s responsibilities are to coordinate the finishing production, ensure the proper operation of production equipment and coordinate the maintenance crew activities.
